Business cards are a simple little thing, but much like making a first impression, you have to get it right…
Business cards are one of the best ways to make a lasting impression and ensure that clients know exactly where you can be reached. Having a high quality, well designed business card is not only a great representation of you, but also highlights the professional approach of your company.
A business card is often the first visual representation that a new acquaintance will have of you. Something plain and generic will generally not leave a great first impression. This is why it was important to design the Victor Chandler cards to represent the brand and the heritage of the company. Little things are important, thickness of the card tend to enforce the impression that you are a successful, and finishing touches like Spot UV also add that extra something.
You can see from the examples here that Victor Chandler itself has evolved from VC Bet, through Victor Chandler, and now to Bet Victor. The problem with some processes are that they can be quite time consuming and costly. For example, Spot UV will add over a week in printing time and can be quite expensive.
For our new cards we have used a company call Moo.com. One of the reasons for this is cost, and also the quality. You can print small batches of 50 costing £13.49, and the greater the order the more the discount. A nice feature for designers with Moo.com is that you can upload 50 different designs onto the back of the cards.
We are very happy with the quality and the cost savings. In the last batch of cards as a company we saved over £5,500 by ordering smaller batches and cutting back on some of the more expensive processes.
